DECORATIVE CERAMIC ART TILES

The tiles are modern innovations of traditional Chinese artistic crafts with two-thousand-years history. The traditional Tang Tri-colour crafts are high value collectables around the world, and our new crafts with much more vibrant colours, thousands of styles and unique textures make them ideal choices for home decor gifts and collectables.

Our beautiful, unique artistic tiles are hand painted and fired above 1000 Celsius to produce brilliantly colourful and complex glazes. The brilliant colours thus produced will never fade and can last for thousand years.

More than dozen of the procedures need to be followed to create one artwork. Only the highest skilled craftspeople are employed to create these fabulous crafts with great styles from subtle to dramatic.

The tiles are mounted with a hook and easel, which allows you to easily incorporate them into your home decor.

Because og the firing typically being a twenty-four hours process, tiles undergo several cycles of firing and cooling in temperatures that exceed 2000F. This stage often causes fine lines to appear on the artwork (an occurrance called crazing) due to its expanding and shrinking. Crazing is so common that very few tiles are finished without it taking place but it has no effect of the strength and durability of the works.

Mr Geo, a professor in Luoyang University in Chinese ceramics, is currently the principe designer. In November 2006, he won a 'Gold' at the prestigious Chinese Contemporary Art Awards for his art tiles exhibited.
